Thaembili Grove is the newest addition to Ginganga Lodge — a private two-bedroom villa with its own pool, lounge and kitchen. The same quiet, unhurried pace our guests have always loved at Ginganga Lodge — only now, entirely your own. A private chef is on hand each morning for breakfast, and for an evening curry tasting, should you wish for one. The most natural way to experience Thaembili Grove is as it was designed — as a complete, private world for up to four guests. The bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, poolside sunloungers and the L-shaped pool are entirely yours. No shared spaces, no other guests. Just the garden, the river, and the sound of the birds. Designed to celebrate our tropical climate, a private swimming pool wraps around two sides of the villa, while each bedroom features its own secluded terrace. The central lounge opens completely to pool and garden—the perfect vantage point to watch monkeys in the palm trees, colorful birds, or an occasional monitor lizard by the river. Inside, the spaces are defined by high-quality furniture custom-made by a local artisan and his team, who beautifully replicate pieces in the iconic style of the great Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa.
