Early morning river cruise by motorboat , watch the diverse local bird life, observe the monitor lizards swimming in the Ginganga river. Outing lasts about one hours, breakfast waits upon your return.

 

Whale watching (early morning start, half day) Whale and dolphin watching in Mirissa is one of the most exciting water activities you can do in Sri Lanka during your holiday. In the warm Indian ocean you can see Blue whales, Bryde´s whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales, sometimes Killer whales, and Common dolphins, Bottlenose dolphins, Spinner dolphins, Risso's dolphins and Striped dolphins. Sometimes you can see turtles and various fish species, for example Bluefin tuna and flying fish. Season starts in November and ends in April.

Visit a tea plantation (half day) Handunugoda Estate is the only tea estate situated in the coastal belt of Sri Lanka specializing in the artisanal manufacturing of ‘virgin white tea’ and is one of the handful of estates in Sri Lanka exporting high quality luxury teas to global markets.Guided tea plantation visit followed by a tea appreciation program is offered to all visitors at No Cost, and at the end the guests are treated to a complimentary luscious cake and a pot of tea at the proprietor’s bungalow.
